Lorraine Mulick grew up in Santa Barbara California.  She moved to Thousand Oaks with her  husband and three sons in 1990.  She has traveled extensively for the purpose of understanding how other countries educate their children.  Early childhood education has been highlighted in her experience as the most important years in education, as they lay the foundation for all future learning experiences.

Lorraine graduated from U.C. Santa Barbara with her Bachelor’s Degree in Speech and Hearing Pathology.  She has worked in the field of Education for 20 years.  In 2002, Lorraine received her Master of Arts in Special Education from California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, Ca.  She recently received her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from CLU and has contributed to the literature in leadership acquisition in children.

Lorraine has been working in the elementary school setting for the past 13 years.  She is a certified Resource Specialist with a Professional Clear Multiple Subject Credential and a Professional Clear Specialist Instruction Credential for the Learning Handicapped. She has worked with a multi-disciplinary team of specialists in the assessment, diagnostics, and program design for individuals that require specialized academic instruction.

Lorraine’s experience in the public school system has laid the foundation for her interest in meeting the needs of all learners.  She believes the role of the educator is to introduce information to her students in meaningful ways so they may construct new knowledge and make permanent connections.  Her record of student success is is her greatest achievement to date.
